This release feels like a natural evolution with The Spy's early contributions to Hilltown Disco compilations stretching back to 2021. Wessel's sound has long resonated with the label's ethos of being forward-thinking, emotive and rooted in electro tradition. Here, he delivers five synth-driven cuts that blur the line between introspective and dancefloor-ready, rich with melancholic moods and sharp rhythmic precision. Produced in the Netherlands, it kicks off with the kicking and sleazy funk of 'Never Do This Again' and takes in textured madness like 'Steel Trap'. The EP also features a rework of 'Evil Wins' from Berlin electro mainstay Privacy.
